PVP BASH!!!

This month has been wild in EVE. Yogita and I have torn it up in pvp. I am number 2 in our alliance, and number 1 in our corp. We have bagged carriers, t3 cruisers, numerous battleships and a number of heavy interdictors. The with the Russian alliances have been going back and forth for some time. We will not give up. Currently we are on orders to redeploy to our home area of space. However we have encourage to keep up the fight for tribute which we are willing and able to do. The above pics: My typhoon, and taking down a carrier! I have been a part of 16 carrier kills.

Coming on up

In Eve we have gone from carebearing, to indy, and now we are leading our corp and alliance in PVP. Jeyo power!!! This month I am the number 2 (as of yesterday) pvper in the alliance.

So far about 92 ships blasted, and I sent one person back to his medical clone. We have blown away multiple t3's, 2 carriers, loads of bc's, and a fair number of BS's.

Here is the link to my kb http://kb.f-con.us/?a=pilot_detail&plt_id=58391

You can see my painful T3 losses, and my sweet kills!

We are at war atm, if you do not know what it is about....just go to eveonline.

Money matters.......

In eve the main currency is call isk, or interstellar kredits. I think its a cool name. However, there have been some changes made in anomalies that might hurt our wallet.

You see you need to scan down both anomalies, and complexes, to really make isk in null sec.

Complexes can net you 100mill to 1billion isk. Anomalies it depends on the type, but the best can net you a regular 40-60mill (depending if a dread class battleship spawns, that is counting bounties not module drops).

However, there has been a change in the anom system. Before you upgrade a system, and then install system upgrades that allows for nicer anomalies to spawn, and there are even upgrades that can give complex's as well.

Now....we are stuck with hubs, which give us 3-4mill per tick, with yogi salvaging in her golem, and me clearing rats in my carrier.

So here we are back in high sec with med ranged pimped tengu's clearing lvl4's left and right. To me lvl 4's are like hubs, with a nice bonus. I would say somewhere between a hub and a haven.

YUCK. I am making about 30-40mill a night. I far cry from 100mill plus loot. Oh and we are not salvaging missions. It takes too long, better to clear em out grab the bonus turn, and request another. Of course your at the mercy of what mission you will get.

I am seriously thinking about going back to mining in null. At least we get abc ore and Yogi and I working together....we can do very nicely. About 100mill in ore a night, which we can use to build ships (well, battlecruisers). So now I am training minni frigate to level 5 and will work on a covert ops ship, and get that to at least level 4. THEN go for upping my scanning skills another notch. This puts off my pvp training, I want to improve gunnery, and perhaps start working on getting a dread for POS bashing. Oh well...perhaps mid summer I will be ready for that project.

Update....

Well how things have changed for us in Eve. We live in null sec, and we love it. I have gotten into pvp getting in on 102 kills last month. Thats 102 ships I helped blow away to defend our space, and harass the Russian Alliance. I now have a much better line up of ships, I replaced my Orca which i had to sell because our worm hole was compromised and the exit to low sec really sucked....and I am not taking an orca through multiple jumps in low sec. I now have a tengu which I have not lost in 3-4 months. 2 Carriers! Thanks Apos! He gave them to us as a gift because Yogita learned the Swedish national anthem and sang it. She actually studied the song while working. Now Yogita is working hard on her carriers and I am going to help her out. I have a full set of 12 fighters for her (like 160mill), and 3 drone control units (120mill), and I am saving up our salvage for her carrier skill books, and some other stuff. She is ratting like crazy, and mining ABC ore as well.

There are said to be changes coming to null sec which might make our home less profitable when it comes to ratting. We will see...

Tengu...more tengu's pleezzzzee.

Well in Eve we have been quite busy in our new corp, and alliance. We have been actively pvping, mining ops (well....only 2-3), and we have only done one WH. Just one. However, running anomalies is much more lucrative. Last night we made about 99mill in about 3 hours. It could have been more but well we did other things as well.

Yogi and I have gotten into building ships, so far we have produced 4 Drakes. Next I will be building some canes. With those we will get on km's. I think for fleet ops, we will use Maelstroms. With the 8 turret slots, we can pack a nasty wallop at range, and of course get on a zillion km's.

Yogi has finally seen light and will be flying a tengu by sunday or next monday at the earliest. She is going to love what a tengu can do. I take battleship NPC's down super easy. The only one real concern about using them in pvp roams...is that they are going to become the enemies gangs main target every time you engage. Which gets really stressful, when your t3 cruiser is worth 10 times what the enemy has. So I will simply not use them for pvp roams unless I warp in last for that final punch when we have a group of them engaged. OR only go if one of us has a logi...which I am a long way off from training.

Ok thats all for now....FCON kicks anus!

Tengu down.....TENGU DOWN!!!

My stupidity never ceases to amaze me. I had a great run in my first tengu. Ran anoms with ease. So yesterday I a see a t2 cruiser outside of the station in our neck of woods in null sec. He or she engages me. I see a Arcon class carrier undock and launch fighters. My blood gets pumping. You see I was about to just dock up and perhaps switch to my much much cheaper Rupture class cruiser. Instead feeling safe that there was a carrier right next to me......I engaged the t2 cruiser. Boom i notice that 6,7 other ships are warping into the scene. I stop firing and in my panic I try to dock up. To no avail, they bounded that tengu so badly. Lesson to be learned: No one is going to sit around in a t2 cruiser with a huge warp bubble up and not have loads of backup likely from surrounding systems coming to their aid.

So fail on me. I can say one thing about myself, I learn my lessons well. So I went to the Rens solar system, and fitted up a another tengu. This one....will not be blown away. I am going to baby it!

Eve

We have some a real long way from the last time I posted here. We left our dead corp, and joined a pvp corp. It was fun, but some pvpers have an ego the size of a mountain. One guy lost an extremely costly battleship, that was a largely given as a gift. Instead of maybe going to null sec and ratting, or running some nice plexs to make isk, he goes out to PVP in it. Needless to say he lost it. Poof! Next he goes on to buy another battleship of the same type. This time people in our corp were getting tired of his nonsense (he pked a lot of corp members after he lost he “gift”). So he was hot dropped, and lost billions of isk. The grand total I forgot, but I do know I could have fitting a carrier out very nicely, and still had isk to spare.

In that corp we had people who knew what they were about, our CEO, and many others. We also had people who had no clue as to what they were doing, and would heavily rely on others to help them. It was like holding their hand.

We lived in a WH for about 2 weeks made some isk, then the corp fell apart. Our CEO simply was overwhelmed with real life issues, and managing the corp took too much of his time.

We were given a nice gift of POS structures to help cover losses (my losses to be exact, Yogi made a nice profit in that WH), and with those assets I am slowly getting back on my feet.

Currently my fleet includes drakes, typhoons, numerous cruisers, several frigates, and now 2 mining barges. I had to sell my Orca because when we escaped the WH we were too deep in low sec space to get that slow moving vessel out safely.

So now, we are in Null sec. My dream has come true (EVE dream), that is to truly be able to be apart of events that shape EVE. The other night our alliance teamed up with other alliances forming a massive fleet of 600 ships. I saw a number carriers, supercarriers, dreads, and even titans on the field.

Yogi and I in our tiny little drakes were just two tiny blips in that blob.

I am finding that null sec provides some of the best ways to make isk hands down. In about a 30 minute period just ratting, netted me 10million. Actually it was more like 20 minutes. This is where I want to bring my carrier (well my first carrier). I want to pvp and protect our area of space, while having a solid isk making backup. I mean it would suck to pvp in my carrier only to lose like person I mentioned above.

Wow this post has grown quite long. I would say this to people who want to make isk fast. WH raiding.

But if you raid wh's realize that if there are POS's there, they will know that you are there, and they will defend “their” WH. If you are in a 3 man crew it is possible to rake in about 30-50mill isk, per wh. Two people in bc's (drakes are awesome, but T3's really rule!), and another in a destroyer with tackle rigs (with salvaging to at least level 4!). You will clean up big time. Right now we are still settling in to our Null sec area. I am currently ready to fly a Carrier in about a week and a half. If I get the skill books fighters, capital ships, and minmatar carrier (my basic systems skills are all at level 5), I could be ready to fly in about 2 weeks.

However I realize that I need to reasonable, I need another ship that I can rely on for pvp, worm holing, or even mission running. For that I am training for the tengu. I want to move into a WH, with yogi, in an Orca (she is training for golem), and me in my carrier. I want to see if I get into a C3 and milk it dry.

The only challenge is …...getting the carrier out again. But that is for some time in the future since yogi still needs to train her caldari BS to level 5, so in about 2 months or so, when we have enough assets we will see what our options are.
