Dread time!

I have trained up for the minnie dread. Let me tell you this...it is quite time consuming but because I did...I can dread for the phoenix a bit faster due to both dreads using the same weapon system. Yogi and I both are ready for it. We will be relocating soon so that means we need to buy loads of plex and add a lot of game time to our accounts. I do not want to miss out on training due to our move. When we become fully active again....I will have trained carrier 5 or fighters 5....maybe both. We will see.... Isk wise yogi and I are doing well, pvp wise we are number 3 and 4 this month. I think next year we will have to look into getting alts. Mining and ratting even small time pvp will so much easier. Actually that is personal goal we have....to go in a small two person team and roam low sec......or even gank highsec carebears. ok time for bed... /tata

Back to ratting!

The time has come to stop blobbing and rebuild my wallet. I'm not broke by any means but EVE is a game where the unexpected can happen at anytime. For example in our alliance we have a really good FC who is at times a bit eccentric. However, he has spend almost 2 years in our alliance, defending our space, training new pilots, and giving people the opportunity PVP. We have a newer person who has risen in the ranks rather quickly (not a diffuclt thing to do as most leadership roles can be tedious in EVE), and he pretty much belittled the pilot who had 2 years of experience. That being said you never know when your position in an alliance can be taken, and suddenly you are booted from your corp. and your access to billions in ships and modules is lost. My solution to this possible evenuality? Have more isk than your ships are worth. If I get kicked out of branch, I can set up anywhere in game even though I have carriers, and dozens bc's exhumers, and tech 2 cruisers. The total estimated value is something like 5-6billion. Thats nothing because I have multiples of that already. Ok so i'm going back to ratting because 1.5billion has been invested in this war and I need to recoup that. I think I'm not the only person who feels this way. A ping came up last night (using jabber), and so few people showed up in fleet. I think people are becoming jaded with this conflict, in which the higher ups basically make loads of isk. so back to ratting! /tata

Sov warfare the real deal

Wow it has been some time since I have posted on this blog. Actually in EVE things have been quite eventful for the past several months. Firstly in the North the CFC have secured branch, tenal, and burned venal. We went on two other deployments in which yogi and I really got loads of pvp. We did so well that if you took our combined efforts away our corp would not have been at the top of alliance ship kills. This has led me to think more deeply about sov warfare. In Eve tech. which is a moon product (mined off of moons). Has driven the economy for the past 2 years or so. Even now with some recent changes to eve it is still important. Basically when systems are being taken, the real people who make a real profit are the ones in leadership positions (this includes people behind the scenes). They are the people who really make loads of isk off of sov taking. I am sure that they do this. The former head of our alliance made off with 30-40billion isk. So I am tired of leading the killboard charts, or being in the top 3 just to basically help those waaaay at the top make even more billions of isk. In Eve war is good for business. Some even in our corp have argued that srp (ship replacement program) is why we should join the massive blobs. I disagree. First while it is fun, in the end you have little too no isk. Your wallet might have 100's of millions in it but ships like battleships, and elite cruisers can eat that up really fast. Now of course those ships will be replaced. BUT what if suddenly your alliance is booted out of null sec. Maybe you have to find another means to make isk, with no srp to help you out. Now the higher ups can take advantage of such a situation and end up billions of isk in the black. Yogi Deci, and I have made our isk, and we will keep on doing so. I fly ships the way I WANT. I dont like going solely by the standard fits so I never apply for srp. BUT I get on loads of kills. I remember one tengu op where i modified my fit (interdiction null.) The FC a cocky dude make a stupid mistake....we got bubbled.....but yogi and I made it out. In other fights I have been able to target pain targets up to 100km away and get on nice frigate killmails. So for now I making the system work for us. But the moment someone tells me that can get us kicked out of the alliance...is the day we return to empire or another null region. /tata

Rebuilding the battle chest

Well we tore the southern alliance apart. One large alliance left and the remaining fools lost many ships to us. I have say that on some occasions they did fight well. I have 301 kills for month so far, yogi has 207. We will celebrate this coming weekend and give our crews much needed r&r. But now that we are home.....it is time to add isk to our war chest. For me I will simply get richer because I did not lose one vessel during our deployment. Yogi lost a couple of ships....insurance payouts well ships are expensive. Today I reckon we pull in 400-500million isk as a result of our ratting. Fly safe!

What a way to go!!

Talk about going out with a BANG and in a very positive way........the deployment is over and we r heading back home... Some of us (myself included) are already back and some of us r still making our way back... The journey is long and full of dangers lurking around the corner...but that is not the story I'm here to tell u today... As I sit in my comfortable captains quarters with a nice fire blazing in the fire place sipping on my drink and remembering our journey back home.... It was not at all what we had expected...I and my crew r unscathed but many other pilots and there crew got a few new scars from the skirmish yesterday..... We were all ready to go back home.... Our capitals and super caps loaded and ready to go .....when suddenly the enemy decided to camp us in and kills us.....but we truly showed them... We fought bravely( not me so much) and we spanked the enemy fleet.... They kept sending waves upon waves but our well seasoned brave pilots handled them.... I was dicking around fruitlessly so I got NADA but Jem got on a whole bunch of enemy kills with his Nid and some with top damage ... Anyways, now we r back home and the saga continues

miles to go before i sleep.......

So figured out that the saying 'there is no rest for the weary' is pretty true.....we redeployed after a short break since our last deployment....I'm not gonna lie, it's nice to be out and about...rolling out in our pimped out ships plus bringing a whole bunch of fun ships to play around with....we do be the SUPER COOL kids on the block...lol....the fun part is we r NOT in the majority but rather a part of a (stealing Jem's expression) 'Large Minority'. Finally set up with mumble and jabber...ships in the staging area....medical clones in order and a promise to get ALOT more pew pew in the euro time zone..we r ready to rock 'n' roll baby!!!!! Bring it on.......

Pop goes the Tengu

So this is what happens when u get a whole new engineering crew and new ensigns who are not seasoned to the battlefield and all their knowledge of battle comes from the hours they jammed in running simulations in the Holodeck. So we were in this dead space pocket fighting the notorious Guristas pirates while tanking the siege rail gun batteries when their leader decided to show up. Needless to say we kicked his ass and Jem got excited to go and open up the can that he dropped....he went too close...his crew was too green for the battle and instead of taking evasive manuvers they should have, they PANICKED.....I was right there on the field beside 'guristas scourge'(Jem's tengu)...my crew and I were trying to take some of those vicious frigates off of 'guristas scourge'....it was chaos, 100 different orders being given and carried out, hundred different people all speaking at the same time....the ship computer giving out warnings about eminent danger....and among it all I heard someone shouting that 'one' thing that I dreaded the most..TENGU DOWN, TENGU DOWN....and as I looked at my screen with the tengu exploding in a ball of fire I was hoping to see that command pod...tiny...but yet still there...I knew all was not lost...we fought bravely and won the battle....got some good bounties and a faction shield boost amplifier....we headed back home...my ship escorting the command capsule and at the nearest friendly outpost Jem could hop into another ship... And so ended yet another day of adventure for the two Jeyo warriors in the massive Eve universe...it's a big and scary world out there and u NEED friends and allies to survive... 1 ship down in the long list of loosing and killing, winning and surviving.....the saga continues........

Heading home....

Our deployment is now over...I will it because I learned a lot more about low sec pvp and I can understand why it is so fun. Also I was able to pad my killboard with eve university members. So with a nice month so far pvp wise and leading the charts for the 3rd time, i'm heading back to branch to prepare my carrier for the journey to bring back my recently purchased pvp ships...namely 2 hurricane class battle cruisers, and Drake (same class), along with a logistics cruiser as well. i hope to make it in one round trip. Null sec. is so much better isk wise......can't wait till I fatten my wallet to new heights! LOL /fly safe!

And so the story goes..........

So today was AWESOME!!!! oh! hold on, before i tell my story let me introduce myself..i'm Yogita or Yogi and technically this is my first post on this blog..... we both have come a long way from being noob carebears to becoming elite plex runners and kick ass pvpers. well now that u have some background information i think i'm ready to tell my story to all u young adventurers out there.... Molden Heath is considered one of THE most violent system in the eve universe.....but being the hardcore alliance that we are..we are actively making our presence known in this system these days....so tonite was as usual...our ships were nice and shiny, missiles loaded and crew on the stand by...we were ready for the hunt...i could feel the prey out there somewhere hiding in their comfortable warm cocoon unaware of the dangers heading their way.... First on the list was a low sec system known for all the carebears ratting in their cozy pimped out ships just making good ole isk....Jem was the FEARLESS WARRIOR in this engagement.....he warpped on the tengu pointed him...took damage and held on to his captains chair as the ship was taking a huge amount of damage...shouting orders to the crew to hold on and not abandon their post...his charismatic leadership won the day..the crew held their post in the face of enemy fire and survived...the whole fleet warpped in on Jem and needless to say, took out the tengu..Jem bagged that kill and rightfully so... The second kill tonite was a hurricane. So this guy decided to engage us first...and lets just say we taught him all about "PAIN"..i was a bit disappointed that Deci lost his ship but still a kill is a kill.... so there ya go..and now, its late..i can feel my old bones groaning for some rest after such an eventful night....it was a good day to die...and better coz we survived all in all a good night in Eve...and for all u warriors out there remember "Adventure is out there"...and if it ain't..Heck "Make ur Own" :)

35 t3 cruiser take down!

Well some alliance mates found a t3 that was ratting in a plex in low sec. After a bit of a waiting game we needed an insta cane to go in. Well Yogi and i learned that in huge blobs instant locking hurricanes are a nice way to get on and even get solo kills. The FC usually will ask for insta canes to pop incoming bombers. The thing about this t3 situation is that well...tengus can put out some nice DPS and an insta cane has NO tank. I had damage mods, tracking mods on my lows, and sensor boosters on my mid slots. So the FC called for an insta cane I went in and well....I had to go into the plex warp through the gate and point the fool. Well there were 2 gates....and this guy doesn't use his directional scanner at all. So I enter the plex...and boom! I point him! I had a secondary point a rapier class cruiser came right after me. The tengu pilot pounded on the rapier. Meanwhile I was pounding on the tengu with short range emp rounds loaded into my arty cannons. My fleet showed up after that....and well this was the result! http://cirad.f-con.us/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=165246 He trashed talked but....in EVE you are NEVER safe....take from me...I know...I have lost 8 t3 while a couple were in anomalies, and 2 others at gates or stations... /fly dangerous!

Epic battle!!

Note to self....logi is awesome if you have a great anchor. I got on over 60+ km in one night of blob null sec warfare. I was in my logistics class cruiser. My job for the none EVE people is to repair or replenish shield damage. Basically in MMO terms I was in the role as a healer. However, i was able to fit a weapon system on my ship and get on many many killmails. http://cirad.f-con.us/?a=pilot_detail&plt_id=58391 . At the moment I am leading in kills for my corp for this month...in the alliance im at number 8. Well...im am pretty burned out after that....stayed up way too late. You can see hundreds of wrecks on the field. We even had carriers repping us and fighting along side of us. We lost one carrier though. We won the battle by a narrow margin. Yogi was in her Drake (battle cruiser class) but she got shot down after getting on 5 killmails. So for the 3rd time with this corp that i'm at the killboard. /fly safe!

Second Post?!

Wow actually the other post was made from my ipad, so it was not as comprehsive as I would have liked it to be. Actually EVE is so much better than lineage. Lineage had a siege system it was how a guild (blood pledge in lineage) could control a region. But it was so lame....laggy back when hundreds of players showed. If you helped to pk someone there really wasnt a way to see who helped who kill who. So keeping records was based on lame low res screen shots. In EVE every action you take to aid you fleet shows up on the killmail. So it is easy to tract pvp performance, and many other interesting stats. Now when I posted before we were basically noobs, well...now we are still noobish. There is such so much about eve that you can not master it very quickly like say...WOW. That is a major plus for me...as easy games can become very boring very fast. That said...EVE really is for people who dont require instant gratification. Well up to a point that is true...if your rich you can pvp all you would like. Yogi and I have mastered some aspects of the game...level 4's, null sec plexing in guristas, and serptentise space (if you live in those regions....please train up t3's skills and scanning!!). We are good miners and I have even trained to fly and crunch ore in the Rorqual. We have 2 carriers each.....thinking about buying a third. Wow we have come a long way. Right now we are deployed and getting kills every day. To date I have popped 34 t3 cruisers while painfully losing 8.....carriers....my dream ship...helped take out 50+ of em. Soon I will place some nice pictures of our adventures. FCON RULES. Actually all of the corps that we have joined until now....they really sucked CIRAD we kick butt! /fly safe! or fly dangerous!

Life in null sec.

Basically many things have changed for us. Namely we are full time null sec pilots. We have our dream ships I think I might have mentioned that already. We are pretty well off iso wise. I will not give figures just to say we are in the billions of isk now, and we know how to make billions no problem. Now we are really into pvp. Our alliance is member of the cfc. And we rule in the north. Remember when we were moving for pure blind I thought "how will it work being so far from empire". I bought thousands of missiles actually 130000 while yogi had similar number. Using carriers for ratting ratting is very risky but very nice isk wise as they don't use ammo. In branch we switched to Tengus and wow! We blew through 130k of t2 missiles fast! Being deep in null sec taught us how important it is to be in a coalition. Cause basically we are cut off. If we were surrender by enemies or reds as we call em....I might be heavier into Indy. So as of right now we are kick ass in low sec and yogi and I are at the top of the killboard. Oh yeah! Ps. No I don't rat in a carrier often...I make money in other ways..... Jemalous
