War is on!

We have deployed to pureblind. This time it was to clear out some alliance that was a "threat" to our allies. Actually I think it was just meant to stir up the hornets nest and have some good fights.
Well last month Yogita and basically took ages to actually deploy and when we did we had a nice fight in a ferox fleet racking up about 19 billion isk in kills.

That was november. We then headed back to branch and focused on preparations for the next major patch. I want us to have a nice set up with mining, ratting, and back up capital ships. Perhaps even building 2 super carriers. So this means loads of ratting, looting, the basic grind.

Well now we are in a new month and we need to support our corp. That means spending time on the front lines. We stayed up way too late so Yogi was knocked out. I had a bit of insomnia. I am so glad I did! This happened!

http://eve-kill.net/?a=pilot_detail&view=kills&plt_id=458641&m=12&y=2015

We ripped apart a black rise low sec faction battleship fleet. The same basic set up that defeated 3 of our allied fleets. The setup was very impressive, 800mm auto cannon macherials, which can project damage quite far for auto cannons. At one point 2 hurricanes (battlecruisers) literally just vanished under a hail of fire from their fleet as we were jumping out of system to reposition ourselves.
I was a bit nervous. Seeing that firepower I realized this would be a very short fight.
So what happened? Well the fc call a macherial primary. I understood the choice their logistics ships where not fully set up so killing a couple of battleships can happen at that stage of the fight. Well next he calls a triage carrier primary. I was not so sure about this choice because carriers in triage don't die quickly. And this thanatos class carrier was hanging in there even though we were breaking him. We lost a 1 or ships in our fleet by the time the carrier was blown apart. Next a series of battleships were called primary and our smaller 720mm cannons blew them away!!! You see with out the carriers massive repairs they simply melted. The logistics ships they brought along where few in number due to the presence of the triage carrier which is a force multiplier. So with the carrier down, those battleships simply melted. We had ewar assistance from a Jackdaw fleet which help with pointing and holding down the enemy fleet. I bagged a Nestor class battleship!

So for the second time.....it pays to stay up!!!

Bot down!!

Wow what a far cry from lineage, I saw a bot I decided to kill it I would be sent to hell. In lineage every death was painful. It took hours to grind and grind to level up.

In eve....we write the script. Especially in null security space.

So yogita and I are ratting trying to clear a haven real quick then we were going to chill and watch some tv. While we are ratting what do we see? A navy vexor warps to our anom. This player had been harassing other players in the same system. Basically he warps in even though the other player has engaged the npc ships and is in the process of killing them. Basically the anom is theirs. It is a rule null alliances live by when trying to make some isk.

So the Vexor warps in and well Yogita and I go to town on it. I was in my vargur armed with a battery of 4 1400mm arty cannons (with the vargurs bonus that goes up to 8 guns). I figured I could one shot him. You see botters when they grind for isk, we call it ratting in eve, they ignore other players. Well that is one thing they do. That guy we killed basically broke rules and did not communicate at all...basically like  a robot. We tried private convos to no avail. SO I figured I would try to kill him with my vargur. The problem was we didn't have ewar with us, so no webs (to slow him down so that my guns could track him more easily), or a warp scrambler to keep him from warping away. The basic ratting ishtar set up allows for it to use oversized propulsion modules. Basically a battleship sized afterburner. He was traveling to fast for my large guns to track, and even Yogita's heavy missiles where having little effect. Speed effects missile damage as well.

Well It was time for my carrier. I developed a simple fit that would not only allow drones to race to their target, but have the tracking to hit it hard and take it out. I designed the fit to counter fast moving interceptors. I had to apply the same fit but this time to heavy drones.

The result?

Bot down!!!

Thanks for mods...next time don't bot in system with a large number of vigilant players!!!

Time to plex...with a twist

Usually when our characters are about to run out of game time, we rat up a storm. This time however, we decided to scan down complexes, and rely on loot from escalations. Many anomalies in eve can be easily found in space. Just open up your scanner. Some of them can randomly escalate to sites we call complexes, sort of like Eve's version of a dungeon. However, your "dungeon" can be scanned down, and the prize loot can be stolen. It is isn't common with sites that escalate, but it can happen.

Usually Yogita and I split our game assets into 4 categories. Isk in our wallet, minerals, faction and deadspace loot (usually worth a pretty penny), and finally loot from anomalies that we run. An earlier post gives information about the mobile tractor unit. It does not salvage, it simply pulls wrecks to itself, and loots them.

Right now we have about 4+ billion isk in minerals, almost 4 billion isk in deadspace, and faction loot, and about 900million in loot taken by our mtus. So we should be able to buy 4 plexs spending 400 million from our main wallets, allowing the deadspace loot to cover the bulk of the expense.

This should allow us to build up to a situation where our characters "build" game time.
I am hoping by the time we get to the Citadel release we have over a 100 days of accumulated game time. We will have to see....

240million isk Gotta love Incursions

Well lets go back to yesterday night. It was at the end of the day and an incursion fleet went up. I decided well why not it has been awhile since I ran one. I am so glad that I did. In just 2hrs we made 240million isk. Truly incursions are awesome sources of isk. I did not want to fly DPS because...it gets boring. Besides my logi skills are really nice.

So I am well ahead of my billion for the week mark.

We are very excited about the major release coming next year. I want to prepare for it by having billions in minerals, and PI materials. So that means it will be time to bring our alts back into null security space. 4 hulks and mine alot of ore, so I figure 2 mining ops a week, perhaps we will have enough minerals to build 2 super carriers next spring. Hopefully our wallets are at 120billion isk each by that time.

So in the next release Super capitals will be able to dock in the massive citadel structures. They make Titans look like small lawn ornaments. Carriers and battleships look like flies on a cows ass!
Seriously these new structures are the size of moons! I CANT WAIT!! In the time being I will be training fighter bombers to level 5. In addition more drone skills need to taken to higher level.

I have decided I want to fly the arazu, or lachesis in small gang warfare. In about 8 hours I will have recon ships level 5!

So the mood about EVE for us....super excited!! We are in preparation mode!

4 days left.... Ratting mania!!

SO only 4 more days left until Yogita and I plex our main accounts. Last post I mentioned how plex prices had climbed to 1.2billion isk. When we started playing in 2008 they were 350-360million isk. Amazing....especially when I know full well that players were able to make 100million isk an hour in null sec.

Well we have been ignoring pings for roams, because it is that time of the month. Right now I have about 615million isk raised towards my plex. So if I can manage 200million today and perhaps another 200 on Friday, that means only 200 million is left which I can easily grind for Saturday, and return to pvp like normal. Yogita and I like ratting, mining, basically those "boring" activities in EVE. It is a nice past time while watching a movie, making plans, or even doing some chores (every now and then both of us are glancing at our screens and watching intel channels).

In Eve nothing stays the same, so sitting on billions worth of minerals, or having a very nice wallet is a good thing. If we decide to go full pirate, I am sure we could do it for year until we were forced back to pve. I love doing crazy risky things, even more so when I know I can replace lost assets easily. So my goal is to set up a pattern of PVE and exposes us to risk (actively ratting when a gang is roaming in specially fit carriers), which brings lots of fun not just for us, but for the "rescue" fleet as well.

With that in mind I am seriously thinking about switching to using my Archon, while training for a Chimera (both when fit right take ages to take out). I just love my nid because while I can fit a so so armor tank, I have loads of mid slots to work with. I can't till a interceptor gets popped because he thinks he can kite drones that travel at 6km/sec with insane tracking!!

Plex time

Well its that time again. Plex prices are now at 1.2billion isk.
That means that if we rat at a leisurely pace perhaps 100million isk a day we need only 12 days for one account. But we have 2 accounts each. So 24 days of ratting means basically nonstoo ratting.

It is a good thing that we usually make about a billion a week ratting. Usually 2 or 3 days a week we make 200-300million isk. On top of that is usually what we call our jita pile. This consists of deadspace drops from escalations, or sites we scan down. The last pile brought us 5billion isk each. Currently we have about 1.8 -2billion isk in our jita pile right now.

I think these plex prices are going to drive more people to turn to plex to fund purchases in eveonline. For yogita and I it means that should we have to relocate it is better to drop 100 bucks and make sure we 3-4 months subbed on each account. At current prices though we have to regularly grind for isk a few days a week.

Oh while ratting over the weekend I was tackled by an interceptor and an interdictor. Yogita got carrier free and sounded the siren for me.

As help arrived this happened

https://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=30893768

As well as this

https://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=30893756

The sabre pilot surely didn't count on such aggressive action. Thanks to Yogita this happened, and my carrier was saved. Carrier ratting can be exciting when this happens. Other ship classes just cant tank well enough for help to arrive.

ARRGHH

No this isn't a post about a ship that got ganked, or me losing another Golem. This is about a post I made a while back about players that beg from other players. This guy asked Yogi and I for 600million isk (a plex players license extension basically 30 days playtime item goes for 1 billion isk). He said that he would pay it back in 2 days. 2 DAYS. Now in null sec especially space like ours where you can easily make very good money running anomalies 600million isk isn't a massive sum if you have loads of time to play, and you have the skills to actually complete these sites, and you can sell the escalations for extra isk on the side. OR you can run them and like we did make about 100million isk in 20 minutes. I got mad and quickly included yogita in the conversation. We both basically told of the many ways he can make isk. He basically gave us excuses as to why he could not do that. So I told him that I have only known him for a short time. Then he left eve, and now that he is back, the same habits begging for isk, have come back with him.

In the past when I ran into this parasite he would rat with yogita and I. We were both in Carriers doing about 3200 dps with sentries. If we had decided to go fighters the dps would have gone up to 4800. This guy...in his tengu.....500 dps? So we were doing most of the work. In addition if we got an escalation he wanted equal share. Of course we didn't do that. I am glad we didn't. A short time later, perhaps a week, he found an officer spawn. Now these npcs are the rarest you will find. The modules they drop can be valued at 400k to 20billion isk! He made I think 2-3billion isk off of that spawn. 2 weeks later he was begging me for isk...it was then that he quit eve.

So this ARRRRGHHH post is about that guy. I will basically tell him to never beg from me again. In Eve that is how the biggest scams start. They beg you for 300million isk. You give it to them, they pay back. They ask for increasingly larger sums, always paying you back sometimes late, sometimes on time. In time they start asking for access to your POS, or if you can let them borrow very expensive ships. In the end you lose 10's of billions and when you try to convo him you get a smile emoticon.

I remember one corp Yogita I was in the CEO his name was Krescac or something like that. He invited this elite pvper into the corp. Right away Yogita and I didn't like him.
We had decided to move into a c3 wormhole. We had 3 POS's (Player Owned structure, think "starbase") set up. Well this asshat asks Yogita and I for our codes. With the codes he could bypass our POS's shield and steal anything even the POS itself. I told him heck no. The next day billions were stolen, and destroyed. Only our POS remained untouched. Stupid CEO, but Yogita and I learned....keep your inter stellar kredits close to you.

Next time I have to tell this guy off I will post the logs.

Heading back to branch for a bit..

So we are back in branch, it was fun err well a lot of the action went down either when we were working about about to go to bed. Timezones have always been an issue. Yogita and I would stay up very very late so that we would be at the top of the killboard. We have gotten with in the top 10 in our alliance. After doing that for a few years we realized, its just not worth staying up so late. What we want is fun content. The battle that I mentioned in the previous post was ALL the fun we had.

So after spending about a billion isk on ships and implants this week, I will recoup most of that. Next week I should be on the road to paying for plexes again. We lost 4 mtu's which sucks but....what can you do? BUILD MORE!

Burn providence wasn't really epic. Now large coalitions can roll over space more quickly. I do not understand how rich carebears don't band together and make life hell for null sec dwellers. (Actually it would be a blast!). Basically, they form a large group of say 5000 players who are very active in pvp. A group that large who can actually put up many fleets in the 50-100's could do amazing things, not to mention it would be plenty of fun. Who knows that 5000 could become 15000, split into smaller fleets wrecking mayhem across null sec!

Providence will burn!

....Um yeah so as the title states the Providence region will be purged. With Fozzie Sov that means it can be done in a few days. I really hope someone invades Tenal, Branch, and Dek that would be so much fun to head back to defend our own "castle" while another one is being burned!

We had 2 fun engagements in this conflict. We caught a command ship (Vulture Class) and I was able to loot, and successfully get 120mil in mods back to our staging system. We actually logged off in space with the loot in my hold...

Then two days later we engaged a medium sized fleet and bagged I think 5 or 6 more kills. It was nice, I looted only t2 mods this time.

http://eve-kill.net/?a=pilot_detail&view=kills&plt_id=458641&m=8&y=2015

My killboard shows 5 kills, I think we got another logistics ship.

So we are finally getting some action. I splurged and spent about 1.4billion on ships and implants. I seems that a lot more ratting will be coming up!

We almost have 1 of our warehouse cans filled up (the capacity is 250km3) it has about 230k in it now. So I think a couple of months of ratting should fill up the second can.

Also our jita pile adding up.....5billion isk!

Time to create our own content...

I miss the days of ninja, lumbo, yogita, and I going on roams. I really miss our one command ship roam. Shot down so many ships....until we can got owned. All in all it was so much fun. I am really thinking about using our stash of ore to build battleships and roam through venal. Maybe get some kills, likely get killed ourselves. That is at the core of EVE. Lumbo is looking into market trading, make some big bucks....actually that is the number 1 way to earn lots of isk in EVE. The second is high end wormholes, while ratting/plexing is third. That is what yogi and I do. We rat use MTU's, and probe from time to time. Right now our jita loot is hoovering in the 5billion isk range...our ore we have about 4billion in ore stockpiled from killing npc pirates (rats).

I mean it is enough to build a small fleet of typhoons, or tempests, and pew pew pew till we die. Then do it all over again. Perhaps dusting off our hulks and using our alts, who are pretty good miners too.
I miss having those guys close. Yogita is still figuring things pvp related out. In a previous post I brought this up. The idea was to have fast reation ships at the ready. The problem with that is sometimes our anomaly just isn't finished yet.....I know we are greedy....LOL

Time to get out there and pew and fill this blog with the killmails!!

Parasitic Eve players

Ugh, sometimes it just doesn't pay to nice to some people. In  Eve you need team work to get ahead and make things happen. This is what occurs most of the time. Yogi and I met a player in our home system. Nice guy didn't know how to make money from anomalies. Tanking was his major issue, in addition to low dps it was taking him way too long. So yogi and I gave him some pointers. We let him tag along with us as we ratted in our carriers. We clear sanctums in under 10 minutes, and combined we do about 45-50mill a tick. Now with this dude joining us we knew he would cut into our earnings.

Yet unlike most people, this guy started begging. For isk, to tag along with us ALL OF THE TIME. On top of all of this he actually got an officer spawn!!! So isk wise things were looking up. NOT. The begging continued. I got annoyed and then decided I will teach him how to make isk from probing. Then he could do his own thing. We could team up for the harder complexes. Well he would probe then expect us to run the sites for him while we split the loot....50/50 not in thirds. WTF?!?!

Turns out this guy is a RMTer he sells the in game currency for hard cash!!!! Right there I cut off the relationship. He soon "quit eve" after that. Now, he is back! If the begging starts I will send a letter to his CEO, if he mentions RMT activities I will report him. I had no proof the first time he mentioned it. I think he got scared and didn't want his account perma banned, or temp banned.

Eve it emulates real life in so many ways. I will not post his name here, but I will let his CEO know.
MMO's can bring out the best in us, and the worse...

Summer heat slow down

This usually happens every year expect when we were working with Jay. Yogi and I slow waay down in the summer. It is just too damn hot. Even with an air conditioner its too expensive to just let your ac run all night or all weekend.

The result? We dropped just 1 mtu each yesterday. Then we headed to bed read for some time then off to la la la land. On the weekends I takes me ALL day to drop 12-14 cans. Usually I can do that in a 2-3 hour stretch. Rest, or go do something else and in the evening do it again. Sometimes to prevent burn out we split it up Saturday 12-14 mtus (24-28 total), and repeat on Sunday. This helps out the wallet in a huge way, and we end up filling our haulers every 2-2.5 weeks. Our haulers have a combined storage of 70,000 m3.

So I think it will take 4 weeks until we are ready to empty the haulers. This heat is crazy. I think I just might log on in a pvp ship in our HD staging system and wait for gangs. Leave heavy ratting for the weekends. At the moment we a are doing ok, but I have yet to buy more pvp ships for home defense fleets. I have 400 million set aside for it. I can buy a few cruisers, and one heavy attack cruiser. That ought to hold me over....

On a side note plex prices are closing in on a billion isk a pop. It sucks but not that much. Yogi and I can make a billion ratting if we spend at least 2-2.5 hours a day during the week days. We can do that in one week. However, we have alts so that stretches to 2 weeks.

People are speculating that when the citadels come to eve online plex prices will drop because people will flood the market with them (plexs) in order to build them fast.
I hope this happens too...

Time for some action!

So yogita and I are pretty good at making isk. But it is time for some more pop action. We have a nice cache of ships already, and we can import more especially to battleships, and battle cruisers. For specialty ships or electronic warfare rapiers along with Lachesis class recon ships we can really have more fun in hd fleets.

Current inventory consists of dominix and tempest class battleships. We have no e war ships of note, really blackbirds, a Griffins.....we have these but we need to skill up our jamming skills more.

The bottom line is this: Eve online is about player interaction. Once you get to the point where making isk to replace ships or making enough Isk to purchase fleets of ships it's time to enjoy the best thing eve has to offer pvp!

Yesterday in branch a fleet of sacrilege class heavy attack cruisers attacked and killed a few ratting ships. Yogita and I were in the area trying to complete a maze escalation which netted us about 350-400 mill 😏). While warping through a system I think it was bkg I saw a fight I just could not take part in. My tenge just wasn't pvp fit. So....it's time to rally our ships, more and more incursions into branch are being made everyday thanks to wormholes. I'm bored of the massive fleet fights, although I am ready to join a fleet especially to save an alliance asset. Eve still needs the massive fights, they can be fun, but the medium to small engagements are so much fun! Those sacrilege class hacs? They all got destroyed but I am sure they had fun doing it. Besides they did kill a few ratting ships.

So I hope to post more links to kills and loses!

Welcome branch!

Golem down....

Strange it isn't on eve-kill.net yet. Yeah well on Monday 3 days ago I lost my golem...

IN A PITHS PENAL COMPLEX! Anyone who plays eve knows that some with my skill set should NOT be losing a golem in Piths. But I did everything wrong. I went in with out Kinetic resistances added to my tank. You see I fit my Golem with an omni tank when I rat in the asteroid belts in our home system. Basically I just slap an em resistance mod on (shield) and head to the belts. Well someone was selling a pith penal complex, basically the sell a bookmark to the entrance gate of the site. The drops are not uber, but well they add up, and its super easy to run.

Well what happened was I entered the last pocket......got distracted a few times, and instead of calling yogi to bail me out in her tengu....I basically blew up in 5 minutes. In Eve 5 minutes is a long time. Yogi could have raced her tengu over and gave me cover fire, even taking aggro off of me.

So we here are, I have the isk to buy another Golem...but none are on the market...so I guess I will have to use my vargur..

Making isk waiting Fozzie Sov

Yogi and I have been doing quite well for ourselves. We have not lost any major ships only frigates, when we deployed to the Nakah system. Our pile goodies is around 6billion isk, but the pile isnt very heavy so I will wait a bit longer till we offload it on the market. Actually right now Rattlesnake blueprints have dropped to 180mill per copy. I would like to see it go up to around 200 before selling.

We have slowed down our ratting recently and have gone back to probing (a reason why we are at 6 billion, last week it was 3-4 bill?), ratting is a bit riskier these days. It seems like wormholes especially thera wormholes are popping up all over the place!

This past week I think I only dropped 15 mtu's, last week it must have been 40-50 mobile tractor units dropped. So counting yogita's units as well, 2 weeks ago we must have dropped 80+. It allowed us to fill the second of our large warehouse containers (250km3) and that was when I melted it all down. We are sitting on a nice pile of minerals (2.4-2.5bill worth). I am not figuring out what to build. Its enough for 2 more carriers, with some left over to build fighters. Its enough for an orca, and 1 carrier (plus fighters), or 1 rorqual. It enough for one dread as well.

With Fozzie Sov coming constellation defense is going to become more important. That means having carriers seems like the best choice, I expect combat losses of capitals between yogi and i to go up so more back up carriers is a good thing.

Well we wll see..

Wow strange weekend!

I guess when it rains it pours...

We had a nice time out on the town yogita and i, and i looked forward to some action in eve. Instead most of the pings were for move ops. Since we are well settled now even our archon's are safe now we had nothing to do.

Basically it was a sleepy weekend for me I could barely keep my eyes open. It was on Sunday or perhaps late Saturday that tragadey struck. A large number of supers (blue supers) were tackled and destroyed. Oh yeah...capitals and super capitals can take gates. With the new changes you stack up time before you can jump again. In the past it was just, jump, dock, undock, jump. Also jump ranges have been reduced so it would take ages move carriers via cynos. With max jump drive calibration you only get 5light years. I think it was like 14-15 light years before.

So as I was falling asleep there were many pings for people to help out tackled blue super capitals. I slept....

Then I woke up some hours later and a few details from chatting with people who were there came to light. The super fleet had one of our ubiquitous harpy fleets escorting it. MY GOODNESS we need to stop replying so much on this ship composition. So instead of battleships with loads of t2 logi ships, they had little harpies who could not free the tackled the supers, oh and logi? t1 cruisers, or t1 frigate shield logi....

So it was bound to happen harpies are not the end all solution. I sucks that we the imperium are so risk adverse even though we have some of the richest ratting grounds in terms of anomalies.

I have been in so many harpy fleets where we simply could not kill 75% of the targets because our weapons were too puny!

Reduced loot from anoms...

Now this might be a hidden update but nowadays it seems my mtus are bagging less of the nice large rail guns from wrecked npc ships. At this time we have about 2.8billion in loot about 350,000m3. I usually get about 2.4billion from 250,000m3. Oh well good thing I have a bpo that I am currently researching, and I have so many mtu's now between yogi and I, we have around 30+. I hope to increase this number as yogi and i can complete anoms soo quickly perhaps once or twice a week we can deploy all of them at once! Carrier ratting for the win!

Some information on mtus once again taken from eve uni's wiki page!

http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Mobile_Tractor_Unit#Mobile_Tractor_Unit

Mobile Tractor Unit

A Mobile Tractor Unit reaching into the depths of space to pluck the most succulent fruit
A Mobile Tractor Unit (or MTU) is essentially a massive cargo container with a tractor beam bolted on. Once deployed, it uses a single tractor beam to pull in any wrecks and cargo containers. It has a range of 125 km, with a 1,000 m/sec tractor velocity, and a 27,000 m3 cargohold. Deployment time is only 10 seconds, and the MTU will last 2 days in space before despawning. The MTU is only accessible by its owner. When destroyed it drops partial loot the same way a destroyed ship does.
The MTU may not be deployed within 5 km of another MTU, within 50 km of stargates or stations, or within 40 km of a player owned starbase. It has 50,000 hitpoints. However unlike the Mobile Depot it does not enter reinforced mode and can be immediately destroyed. Like the Mobile Depot, the only consequence for shooting another player's MTU is a Suspect flag; CONCORD will not intervene.
The MTU targets the closest item first, tractors it in, and loots it. Due to the "closest first" behaviour, you can't use more than one MTU per site, as they will interfere with each other and pull nothing in at all.
The MTU has become extremely popular despite its cost, particularly for looting mission rats. Though not as fast at tractoring and looting as a Noctis, the MTU continues to loot a field even when you're not there, and deposits wrecks in an easy-to-salvage group around itself. This can allow your mission ship to salvage while running the mission, using either a utility high slot, or salvage drones.
Some systems have seen an increase in organized griefing centred on Mobile Tractor Units. Similar to ninja salvaging and stealing, a gang will take up residence in a high activity missioning area and scan down MTUs. They'll then aggress the MTU, attempting to bait the missioner into engaging them. As with ninja looters, the options for dealing with them are fairly limited. Engaging the griefer will set your engagement timer and their friends can warp in and finish you off. Not engaging will cost you both your loot and the cost of the MTU. Orbiting the MTU at close range mitigates this heavily. As soon as you see them warp into your pocket you can empty the contents of the MTU into your hold and scoop the unit. They will be left with a mission pocket that you have already looted and are likely to move on.
MTUs do not loot wrecks that are not yours. There are some griefers that prey on this misunderstanding. After arriving in your mission pocket they may drop an MTU of their own hoping you will engage it, presumably because you think that it will collect your loot for them. It is best to ignore these rogue MTUs as they won't affect you. Even if the griefer warps out and leaves it behind they can monitor you in local to see if you've become a suspect, and warp right back in with friends.

Variations

There are two variations of the MTU, the 'Packrat' Mobile Tractor Unit and the 'Magpie' Mobile Tractor Unit. The Packrat variant has a larger tank, while the Magpie has longer range. Both have increased tractor velocities, but the Magpie has the fastest. Both also have increased sensor strength, making them harder to scan down. Both are considerably more expensive, with Magpies running at hundreds of millions. The BPCs for these units can be found from Ghost Sites.

Happy anniversary Eve online!

Well well well this year all active acounts recived core gen-3 and core gen-4 implants! THis is epic! These implants were selling for over 3+ billion isk..each with the core gen-1 and core gen-2 were dirt cheap. I am so happy about this because these implants are really awesome, great for pvp, and pve

Taken from eve uni's wiki page: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Implants

Special Genolution Core Augmentation Set

A new set of implants were introduced by CCP (as special limited items) that have bonuses but do not fit the standard pattern and are not Tech 2 implants. The CA-1 and CA-2 were introduced as holiday giveaway items while the CA-3 and CA-4 were initially available only through a special purchase of commemorative items, but were reissued as anniversary giveaway items. These implants require only Cybernetics II and Science III.
CA-1 perception +3; Provides +1.5% powergrid and capacitor amount bonus; 50% bonus for set
CA-2 intelligence +3; Provides +1.5% CPU and capacitor recharge bonus; 40% bonus for set
CA-3 willpower +3; Provides +1.5% ship velocity and shield capacity bonus; 30% bonus for set
CA-4 memory +3; Provides +1.5% ship agility and armor hit points bonus; 20% bonus for set
Total Effect Bonus is 4.25% for a full set for each of the bonuses. Because each implant gives bonus to a different attribute, they are not combined like the T2 implant bonuses.
So this set gives you a bit of everything to help with fitting ships, to align time reduction, with a nice boost to tank.
Now this set is 400-500million isk. I already have 2 back up sets and I am looking to increase this to perhaps 5-6 sets.

Thanks ccp!!!

Our Archon's are Free!!!

Well Yogita and I finally did it. We brought our Archon class carriers filled to the brim with ships, through tribute, and venal. In venal we disrupted a gate camp by destroying a small bubble. We had to put up with smack talk from the 2 players hoping to catch smaller prey. You see with the newest changes to eve, namely capital, and super capital ships can now take gates, traveling long distances with needing to cyno is possible. However, timing is of the essence. We timed our escape RIGHT AFTER downtime. That means players are just logging back in, so instead of having a sever with 25-30,000 people online, there are only 2-5,000. That means lots of empty systems, and pvper's are gearing up, but not fully set up yet.

I am glad that we have our Archon's in branch, I think the deployments we are having are a mistake. With the changes to sov coming huge deployments are going to mean that you can and will lose sov way back at home. Currently the deployment system is a good 66 jumps from branch. Even taking interceptors it is going to take one heck of a long time. And even with reduced jumpclone timers hostiles are going to be able to set up shop in many systems taking and holding sov before alliances can bring their full weight to bear.

I envision small roams making more sense, not only for practical reasons like holding sov., but for the content. It looks like things will become more fun!

War in Delve...perhaps the last big sov grind...

Well its that time again, timers, shield armor, and if your lucky you can get a kill if it is an armor timer. Massive fleets, TIDI (google tidi eveonline), taking ages to lock a target, a 1hr fight can take up to 3-4 hours. These are somethings that Yogita and I just can not do anymore. We have kids we just don't have the time do commit to long long battles that move in slow motion.

Well now occupancy based sov is coming. That means if you are deployed far away someone can take your sov from you. You must be always ready to defend your home turf. This should lead to more border fights like we used to have years ago. 40 vs 25, or 70 vs 60, numbers that are fun. 400 vs 600 means that the vastly outnumbered group docks...and refuses to fight. THis is...boring! Now I hope to get to know people who live in nearby systems because we will likely be fighting together to defend our home systems. Yesterday Yogi and I made about 700 million isk together with another set of mobile tractor units deployed.

I think next week with the newest release we are going need more and more locally based ships for defense.

Mobile Tractor Unit down!

Lets explain a bit here. A mobile tractor unit is a wonderful self deployed structure that will tractor wrecked ships to it and empty its contents (loot), storing so that the capsuleer can at their leisure pick it up at another time. They can remain in space for 2 days.

They can be destroyed and will yield a killmail. Well this happened to us http://eve-kill.net/?a=pilot_detail&plt_id=458641&view=losses&m=4&y=2015

Yeah thats right a bunch of dead mtu's. These structures must be scanned down which by itself is bit annoying, however last week a gang actually took the time to scan down everyone of our mtus and destroy them........:(

Thats ok though I have a mtu bpo (basically I can keep producing mtu's as along as I have the proper materials), I also researched it quite a bit so it takes a bit less materials to produce, and less time to produce.

SO TAKE THAT YOU REDS! (red basically means non friendly player we have a system that we use to color code players, and organizations that are friendly light blue, and best bros dark blue, orange and red...enemies!)

So we still have mtu's and i will look into PI to actually start building mtus from stratch!

2.4bill in looted modules from ratting....

Why mine when you can rat?

Ok here is the deal...Yogita and I love capital ships. However, we do not have the resources to mine for ore to build them in a reasonable time frame.

We have 2 toons each so with all 4 running hulks (only one toon has exumers 5), we can build battlecruisers even the odd battleship or 2. Capital ships....that is another story. Carriers, and dreadnoughts need about 1.4-2 billion isk worth of minerals. We have plex that need to be bought that current runs us about 1.6billion isk each every month.

The solution? The mobile tractor unit! Yogita and I use carriers to rat, yes there are better set ups out there for isk efficiency but we don't need that. We need the junk that the npcs leave behind. We can reprocess them for minerals. Recently this has been nerfed, so to counter that we need even more loot. The answer: we rat together. We clear sites sanctums and havens in about 8-10 minutes. When we warp to an anom which is being run usually the ratter allows us to deploy an mtu there.

The result....we have built 3 Archon class carriers this way. So now the plan is to build more carriers....not for null sec ratting but for pvp, and Wh pve and pvp. We have about 1.8billion worth of loot already, or about 230k m3 collected so far. I want to fill 2 cans 250k m3 for 500k total mine a bit for what might be lacking then build boot carriers (basically pvp carriers for the new occupancy based sov that is coming). I want to keep kicking out back up caps mainly carriers for now nids for me and chimeras for yogi. Archons and dreadnoughts will come later.

Having 3 carriers might seem like overkill but with some recent changes made to them, for example fighters are actually an option now, and carriers now have respectable dps along with the ability to take system star gates....while carrying fit ships around....they are so much more that massive logi, that can haul doctrine pvp ships to the new staging ground.

A new Carrier has arrived!

Well I finally replaced that Nid class carrier I lost trying to help a fellow alliance mate, actually Yogita and I both lost carriers that night.

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=24462230

Thats me ^

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=24462230

This is a fleet of carriers that went down..we were not organized and we got picked off one by one....

But no biggie I have replaced that carrier, and I will be purchasing a Branch based dread to help defend branch, tenal, venal, and Deklein. (Those are sectors of space in Eveonline).

So basically we are putting our loads of isk to work....so sense sitting on billions might as well buy ships with the isk.

Next post...confessor!!!

Focusing on our alts

Well fcon is at war once again, we have our main characters deployed. More risk adverse combat.....basically if the enemy brings a bigger stick we pack up and go home. Sometimes this happens due to spy reports, so as we are heading to the target system...we are told to turn around and stand down.

Because of this Yogita and I have decided to create our own content. We have always been wondering what it would be like to run level 5 missions. So now we are grinding level 4's and skilling up. I think we might have to train Marauders on them to really be able to take level 5's on. This will be very exciting because level 5's are only found in low security space. This means that roaming pirates (which roam popular level 5 systems).

Currently we have over 120billion isk in our wallets so risking expensive ships should give us good reason to grind anoms if we lose a few billion isk battleships!
